Choosing Nature Over Danger

Human beings have been fascinated by the concept of beauty since time immemorial. What is considered beautiful differs between societies and cultures. However, individuals will still work hard to appeal to the visual senses of everyone who beholds them. In the past, before the onset of cosmetic products, women used crude ingredients to make themselves fairer and more appealing. In modern days, individuals are willing to spend thousands of dollars in an effort to make themselves more beautiful.

“Beauty Health Hazards”

Unfortunately, women all over the world became obsessed with beauty and the power associated with it. Beautiful women were more likely to get married to wealthy men who will take care o them. Also, beautiful women are more likely to get employment in certain industries. This obsession led to the notion of ‘no pain, no gain’, in which women were willing to go through extremely painful and dangerous procedures in order to become beautiful.

In the past, women were made to believe that a small, wasp-like waist is beautiful. These women often tied corsets tightly around their waist. This would make it difficult for them to breath properly and most women suffered fainting spells as a result of this. In ancient China, women were made to believe that big feet are ugly. These women would therefore tie their feet when they are young in order to prevent them from becoming bigger. This procedure is extremely painful, and activities such as walking would be excruciating. Women in other parts of the world applied toxic mercury on their skin in order to make them fairer.

These days, women have been made to believe that skinny and tall is beautiful. Young girls all over the world are trying out dangerous diets and diet pills. Others have developed unhealthy eating disorders such as anorexia. Women have died on the surgeon’s table while trying to get liposuction in order to remove excess fat from their bodies. Others have gone through a painful procedure that involves breaking the bones in their legs in order to make them taller.

It is quite sad that people have resulted to such extremes in order to look beautiful. What most of these people do not realize is that beauty also has a psychological aspect. This aspect involves loving and accepting oneself. Most men will agree that there is nothing as beautiful and as attractive as a confident woman.

Furthermore, there are a lot of natural tips that can help an individual to look more beautiful. Drinking plenty of water can help to make the skin more radiant and it will definitely help the individual to age gracefully. Fruits and vegetables are essential for firmer and healthy looking skin. Individuals should also get plenty of rest at night as this will keep their skin looking younger and they will also feel better.

There are also a lot of natural products that use safe ingredients. Such products are available in various stores and websites and they can help a woman to have beautiful skin, hair and nails without causing them any pain. Women should always remember that though beauty is desirable, they do not have to risk their health or lives in order to achieve it.

Beauty Foods Natural Cures

With clunky boot season upon us and the cold winter air following closely behind our feet can become dry and even cracked. And we all know that there is nothing attractive about dry or cracked feet. Well over the years I’ve spent my fair share of time getting my feet summer ready with almost every beauty product on the market. Now my mom on the other hand has always a natural cure kind of woman and she often shared her natural beauty tips with me and my sister.

Now when I was in my twenties, I absolutely loved to wear high heels. I’d wear them every single day, to and from work – even though I had to walk thirteen blocks to the train station. Well after a few years of tight shoes and high heels I started to notice that my feet hurt like hell and that I now had a callous on my foot. I immediately went to my local drugstore to see what I could pick up to help my aching feet. But almost every product contain some sort Salicylic Acid to burn away the dead skin *ouch*. I asked my mother for advice and she shared her natural wisdom with me and now I’ll share it with you. There are several natural options for smooth feet, I call them beauty foods because they help to keep us looking beautiful!

Common causes of dry feet or calloused feet:

  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Wearing shoes that do not fit properly: tight shoes, shoes with narrow pointed toes, high-heeled shoes etc.
  • Sweaty feet can cause blisters
  • Health issues: Diabetes, Obesity, Skin Disorders etc.

Beauty Foods for dry cracked feet:

  • Milk: Soak your feet in a milk bath! Milk contains lactic acid that can help loosen calloused skin.
  • Baking Soda: Mix 3 parts baking soda and 1 part water, massage feet for a few minutes and rinse.
  • Bananas: Apply the pulp of ripe banana on the affected area of your feet. Let the banana sit for 10 minutes and then wash with warm water.
  • Chamomile Tea: Dilute and soak your feet in chamomile tea, the tea may temporarily stain your feet but easily washes off with soap and water.
  • Epsom Salt: Soak feet in warm water with Epsom Salts for 15-20 minutes.

The best solution for dry or cracked feet is to find the cure, which can be anything from the shoes that you wear to a medical condition. If you’re unsure of the cause of your foot discomfort it’s best to see your doctor. If shoes are the cause of your foot problems then switching to another pair with better arch support could do the trick.

I’m also a huge believer in taking vitamin supplements. There are several vitamins that are beneficial to the health of your skin. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Vitamin E fights against free radical damage and helps to ease dryness and itchy skin.
  • Vitamin C is essential for the production of collagen, it also helps maintain circulation and proper moisture.
  • Vitamin A or rather lack of this essential vitamin leads to dry skin. Topical Vitamin A, commonly known as Retinol has been shown to decrease signs of dryness and aging.

Beautiful and Natural Skin

The reality of life is that because of the stress in your life, you cannot help the deterioration of the body as well as the skin. However, a person will still be able to achieve a beautiful natural skin by just following steps that you can do every single day.

The first step to enable you to have soft & beautiful skin is to exercise; it does not matter if you choose to go to the gymnasium or to run everyday, as long as you engage in different physical activities. Exercise is important because it can boost the quality of your in many ways. Ways you could not imagine possibly. When your body heats up and produces sweat, it automatically eliminates the toxins that prevent your skin from glowing. Another reason is that when you engage in different exercises, your body is able to produce different hormones that make the skin cells very healthy; and you can see the effect directly through your skin.

The second step in developing a beautiful natural skin is by maintaining a healthy diet; when you get used to eating foods that do not have nutritional value the health of the skin also deteriorates along with your overall health. The two types of food that you should focus on eating are fruits like apple, banana, peaches and watermelon: and leafy vegetables such as broccoli and spinach.

The final step for you to be able to have a soft & beautiful skin is by using skin products that have natural ingredients in them. This is very important since natural ingredients definitely do not have side effects in them that can harm your skin in any way. In addition, these ingredients also make it possible to rejuvenate your skin even from the inside. These natural ingredients while at the same time preventing the accumulation of melanin on your skin will also increase the collagen levels of your skin. When you prevent the melanin accumulation, your skin will also have a lighter tone and it will appear clean, smooth and fresh. To put it bluntly, people will only be able to achieve a total transformation in their skin if they always use natural skin products for maintenance.

As you have found out, you do not need to spend too much money just to be able to obtain the perfect skin that you can show off to other people. You only need to discipline yourself when it comes to the things you should do daily to be able to take care of not only your skin, but your entire body as well. What your skin needs is plant extracts, powerful antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, special enzymes and much more.

They help you get soft and beautiful skin by naturally increasing your collagen levels to smooth away and lines and wrinkles, delivering essential nutrients and quashing free radical damage.
